Hello. I have heard wonderful things about the Acne wash by Belli, but I was always told to not used and "acid" on my skin during pregnancy. I know that through the screening Belli does, it should be safe. But can anyone help clarify?

Actually, lactic acid (found in our Acne Clearing Facial Wash) is safe for pregnancy-which means that it has been teratology screened, to ensure there have been no links to birth defects. What you have heard is that most hydroxy-acids (glycolic, salicylic)are not safe for pregnancy-this is true, these ingredients would not pass teratology screening. Lactic acid, however, is the exception!

I LOVE this stuff. My OB told me about it during my first trimester..it's been over a year and I still use it. My skin has never looked better.
