What is Teratology?

It's great to see that the Belli message is gradually spreading throughout the world. There has been a lot of interest from South Africa, the UK, Asia and the Middle East;  from both retailers and savvy consumers alike.

We still find, however, that our key point of difference remains a bit foggy to many people. I am going to do my best to reinforce this point on a regular basis. Also, it's a busy Monday and this makes for an easy blog post;)

What is Teratology?

Teratology is the study of teratogens*.  Belli is the only skin care brand IN THE WORLD that utilizes a teratology screening process to screen for teratogens. This ensures that no ingredients in our formulations have ever been linked to birth defects. Many commonly used skin-care ingrediets, synthetic, natural or organic-can be teratogens.

*Te.rat.o.gen [tuh-rat-uh-juhn]: any substance capable of interfering with the fetus, causing birth defects or fetal abnormalities.

Just another reason why I love Belli, you do all the hard work for me so I don't have to worry about what goes on my skin. I am not currently pregnant although I appreciate the motherhood and baby products for myself and my boy. But way to go on looking out for the customer!
